Well, I'm still alive after going through all of the excitement of my first tea party! It all started with a cold, cloudy day in January. Everything I planned for had gone wrong, for my outfit wasn't made so I couldn't twin, the weather was wacky, and being this was my first big meetup, I wasn't so sure about myself. I was mainly concerned about making new friends and meeting people since I didn't get a chance to do that a lot at the cookie meetup due to my ex-girlfriend. I get really nervous in situations I don't know anyone and usually assume the worst possible scenario might happen to me, but luckily, the venue served alcoholic beverages!!!

One by one, each guest with their outfit matched to the theme, which was royalty, started to appear out of nowhere and invade the tea room. I lucked out again, for a couple people recognized me and sat with me! Over 60 people attended and the snacking soon commenced!

The weather started to get better so everyone went outside.
! Also during the service one of the male members of the community proposed to his girlfriend. I frantically tried to whip out my camera and record the scene but only managed to get the ending.
She said yes! These kind of events make me happy and mushy with the thoughts of love. In a way, I like to see them and cheer the couple on in my head because they get to take future steps in life with each other... an idea I used to have. It makes me bummed out sometimes I wasn't able to do that with the person I was serious with, but I know it was for the better.

A lot of the lolitas divided up and went to eat dinner. Sadly, I can't remember what happened after this part since I had a little too much. I ended up losing my credit card and somehow recovered it later on through the night.
To sum it up, I thought the event went well. The food was good, everyone was talking, and I had a great time shooting some photos. The bad part is that I thought there was very little time to socialize and time to get to know people individually. It'll be nice if there were smaller meet ups, I know I'll be going to one in February!
